About the Role
Margaret Lawrence University (MLU), a prestigious private institution established in 2022, is seeking a dedicated and scholarly professional to join our academic team as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Law, Faculty of Law. Located in Galilee, Delta State, with a medical campus in Abuja, MLU is committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and moral development. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various core areas of law.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in recognized, peer-reviewed outlets.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, essays, and academic activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and faculty committees.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to law students.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives and institutional accreditation exercises.
- Hold an LL.M. degree in Law (a Ph.D. in Law is an added advantage).
- Be a member of the Nigerian Bar Association with valid evidence of Call to the Bar.
- Demonstrate relevant teaching, mentoring, and research experience commensurate with the rank.
- Provide evidence of scholarly publications in reputable academic journals.
- Submit a comprehensive research statement and teaching philosophy statement.
- Provide names, phone numbers, and email addresses of three professional referees.
