Federal University Lafia is inviting suitably qualified academics to apply for the position of Senior Lecturer in Accounting within the Faculty of Management Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality university education and fostering cutting-edge research in Nigeria. We are looking for a dedicated scholar who can contribute significantly to our academic community through innovative teaching, rigorous research, and effective mentorship of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and design comprehensive curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate accounting programmes.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committee work.
- Contribute to community development initiatives and academic partnerships aligned with the university's mandate.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Accounting or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Evidence of a minimum of ten (10) publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate students and sustain a continuous, active research profile.
