About the Role
Robert Walters is partnering with a prominent FMCG and Manufacturing group in Nigeria to appoint a dynamic and experienced Senior Internal Control Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for strengthening and maintaining the organization's internal control environment by ensuring robust controls, processes, and governance frameworks are effectively designed, implemented, and monitored across the business. You will support the Head of Internal Control in driving a strong culture of compliance, operational efficiency, and accountability within a fast-paced corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the company's internal control framework.
- Ensure key business processes are adequately controlled and aligned with organizational policies and governance standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend practical improvements to mitigate identified operational and financial risks.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks across business units.
- Collaborate closely with diverse business stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk mitigation plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Recognized professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CRMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or Governance roles.
- Proven working experience within a large FMCG or manufacturing organization, supporting complex business operations.
- Strong working knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and corporate governance practices.
