About the Role
Spectrum Books Limited has a proud history of shaping the publishing landscape in West Africa by delivering exceptional academic, educational, and specialized publications. We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding company assets, identifying operational inefficiencies, and ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and financial regulations across our head office and nationwide depots.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct periodic, risk-based, and surprise internal audits across the head office, depots, and operational locations.
- Review financial transactions, expenses, records, and operational processes for accuracy, compliance, and proper authorization.
- Perform comprehensive stock audits, reconciling physical inventory with ERP system records to investigate variances, shortages, and damages.
- Assess internal control effectiveness, segregation of duties, and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify control weaknesses, fraud risks, and financial leakages, offering practical corrective actions to management.
- Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities, and reported control breaches independently and objectively.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and evidence-based audit reports alongside actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with finance, sales, logistics, and human resources departments while maintaining audit independence.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant internal audit experience within a structured business environment.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant or possess a recognized professional accounting and auditing certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, financial controls, and operational auditing.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern audit software.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various depot locations as operational needs require.
Spectrum Books Limited offers a competitive salary ranging from NGN 200,000 to NGN 250,000 monthly, alongside opportunities for professional growth within a reputable publishing institution.
