We are currently looking for a qualified Senior Health Record Officer to manage and oversee our institutional health records department, ensuring optimal data management and compliance with global healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the university health records unit and ensure accurate documentation of patient data.
- Maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of all physical and electronic health records.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and university administration to compile health statistics and reports.
- Implement modern electronic health record (EHR) systems and train junior staff on best practices in data management.
- Ensure compliance with national health data regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
- Resolve discrepancies in medical records and coordinate audits to maintain high standards of data accuracy.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information Management or a related field.
- Valid professional certification and current practicing license from the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
- Minimum of 5 years of cognate professional experience in a recognized healthcare or tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated competence, high integrity, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems and advanced database management tools.
