About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, Africa's leading cement producer, is looking for a visionary and results-driven Senior General Manager Production - Process to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this executive capacity, you will oversee and coordinate the efficient production of high-quality clinker and cement, ensuring optimal plant capacity and revenue generation while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the overarching production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage the plant's production, capacity, and materials requirement plans aligned with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of approved production plans to ensure established volume and quality targets are consistently met.
- Prepare and manage annual production budgets through efficient resource optimization and cost leadership.
- Coordinate closely with the maintenance department for planned shutdowns of production lines and oversee kiln lining repairs.
- Supervise raw and cement mill operations as well as the cement packaging system.
- Provide overall guidance, leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to the multidisciplinary production team.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the global cement manufacturing sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 25 years of relevant professional work experience in heavy manufacturing, with at least 10 years in a senior management position.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, local and international industry trends, and plant operations.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead large production teams toward operational excellence.
