About the Role
Dangote Group is a leading African business conglomerate dedicated to building local manufacturing capacity, generating employment, and providing quality basic needs products across the continent. We are currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior General Manager, Production - Process to join our dynamic operations team at Dangote Cement Plc.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the overarching production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage comprehensive plant production, capacity, and materials requirement plans aligned with strategic business goals.
- Oversee the execution of approved production plans to ensure strict adherence to quality, volume, and efficiency targets.
- Prepare and monitor annual production budgets through optimal resource allocation and cost leadership principles.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to strategically plan kiln shutdowns, mill operations, and packaging system repairs.
- Stay abreast of global cement manufacturing trends, regulations, and best practices to recommend and implement operational improvements.
- Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and overall guidance to the plant production team.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of twenty-five (25) years of relevant work experience in industrial manufacturing.
- At least ten (10) years must be in a senior management position within the cement or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Deep understanding of local and international cement industry regulations, trends, and operational challenges.
