About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, Africa's leading cement producer, is looking for a dynamic and visionary Senior General Manager Production to join our esteemed operations team in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee and coordinate the efficient production of high-quality clinker and cement, ensuring optimal plant capacity and revenue generation while adhering to our strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of a robust production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage the plant's production, capacity, and materials requirement plan aligned with corporate strategic intents.
- Prepare annual production budgets based on market forces and ensure achievement through effective resource optimization.
- Coordinate and manage the production team to achieve daily targets within specified quality levels, timelines, and budgets.
- Liaise with the Maintenance department to coordinate planned shutdowns for production lines.
- Oversee the execution of cement kiln lining repairs, raw and cement mill operations, and packaging systems.
- Provide overall guidance, leadership, and strategic direction to the entire production workforce.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 25 years of relevant work experience, with at least 10 years in a senior management position within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong, comprehensive knowledge of the local and international cement industry trends, challenges, and regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and relationship management skills.
