We are currently seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior General Manager - Maintenance, Inspection, Planning and Scheduling (MIPS) to lead our engineering reliability and maintenance strategies from our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive MIPS schedules to optimize plant operations.
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, and orders to align maintenance with business goals.
- Estimate production costs, evaluate cost-saving methods, and analyze the financial impact of design changes.
- Design equipment layouts and workspaces to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Evaluate failure rates and maintenance costs of specialized equipment to drive continuous improvement.
- Define criteria for equipment evaluation, testing, inspection, and task distribution.
- Provide strategic input for asset maintenance and risk management plans.
- Collaborate with vendors, staff, and management regarding purchases and manufacturing capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant professional experience in MIPS or heavy industrial engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintenance management software and engineering best practices.
