About the Role
Join the Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, as our new Senior General Manager, HEMM. In this pivotal leadership role based in Lagos, Nigeria, you will oversee the comprehensive maintenance and repair operations for our extensive fleet of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery, driving operational excellence across our mining and manufacturing divisions.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule maintenance resources for all equipment used for mining operations.
- Supervise, coordinate and monitor the execution of scheduled work plans and unplanned emergency and breakdown work, determining sequence and assignments based on work priority and availability of equipment and manpower.
- Ensure the highest maintenance standards are applied and maintained using resources including costs.
- Ensure team members work safely and follow all safety standards and safe work practices.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs on fuel, brake, electrical, and transmission systems.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 25 years of extensive work experience in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery.
- In-depth knowledge of mining operational and maintenance processes.
- Superior diagnostic, leadership, and organizational skills.
