About the Role

Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a leading and wholly indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing group dedicated to delivering flawless products that offer real value. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Lead to provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our HSE, environmental, and sustainability frameworks. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance and drive a robust culture of safety across all our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead workplace health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives in compliance with local laws, ISO standards, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct regular factory and warehouse inspections to identify hazards, assess residual risks, and implement effective control measures.
  • Oversee incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are executed.
  • Supervise safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work systems, emergency preparedness, and fire safety management practices.
  • Coordinate HSE inductions, training programs, safety meetings, and evacuation drills for employees and contractors.
  • Manage waste disposal, environmental monitoring, Effluent Treatment Plant activities, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and external stakeholders on all HSE and environmental matters.
  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE and ESG compliance reports to management.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. Degree in a Science-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant HSE experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
  • HSE Level 3 Supervisory Certification, IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH certification, and ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Strong expertise in HSE legislation, environmental regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Deep understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESG standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
