We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Finance Officer to join our growing finance team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial controls, driving digital transformation projects, and ensuring absolute compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including payroll administration, invoicing, accounts payable, and general ledger transactions.
  • Manage operating expenditures, oversee accrual and prepayment processes, and prepare comprehensive annual and monthly budgets.
  • Conduct monthly budget variance analyses and cash flow projections to optimize liquidity and working capital management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory deductions, corporate tax returns, and regulatory reports.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations, daily transaction postings, and period-end journal entries.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for management and Board review.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Support fundraising initiatives, debt provider reporting, and monitor compliance with financial covenants.
  • Contribute to internal control enhancements and participate in finance automation and digital transformation projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is strictly required.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of cognate finance experience, with proven sector experience within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and statutory regulatory reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and accounting software.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting audit processes and fundraising reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
