About the Role
Alpha Mead Group, a Total Real Estate Solutions Company certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards, is recruiting a Senior Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a prestigious top-tier co-educational secondary school in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will partner with the Chief Financial Officer to manage fiscal affairs, optimize capital management, drive strategic financial planning, and ensure strict compliance with educational and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing comprehensive financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, taxation, capital management, and debt financing.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, drive cost-saving initiatives, and support informed decision-making across departments.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian taxation laws, manage tax filings, and liaise effectively with relevant regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on capital raising activities, debt restructuring, and maintaining relationships with financial institutions.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the accounting and finance team to foster high performance and operational excellence.
- Lead the development, monitoring, and reporting of the annual operating budget and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions and policy improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA, ACA, or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- Must possess a recognized ICAN certification.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of robust accounting and finance experience, preferably within a structured or educational environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian taxation laws and general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting ERP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
