About the Role
PiggyVest is Nigeria's leading digital savings and investment platform, helping millions of individuals and businesses manage their finances effectively. We are currently looking for a talented and driven Senior Finance Associate to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the financial oversight of the company, focusing on financial statements, analysis, budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and strategic relationship management. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management accounts, and consolidated financial statements for the group.
- Produce comprehensive financial analysis and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, the board, and investors.
- Prepare, consolidate, and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, reporting variances to management.
- Manage year-end reporting, audits, tax obligations, and statutory filings (VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Handle regulatory engagements and reporting with authorities such as CBN, SEC, FRC, LIRS, and NDIC.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach finance associates, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors, financial partners, and public auditors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related relevant field.
- 7 to 9 years of relevant post-graduation experience, with a minimum of 3 years in fintech, financial services, or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
