About the Role
PiggyVest helps individuals and businesses across Nigeria manage their finances effectively through secure saving and investing solutions. As a Fraud and Investigation Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our platform by detecting, investigating, and resolving suspected fraudulent activities while continuously improving our risk management controls.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor fraud alerts, transaction dashboards, and investigation queues to identify suspicious user activities and emerging risk patterns.
- Conduct thorough end-to-end investigations into fraudulent transactions, account compromises, and payment disputes within established SLAs.
- Gather and evaluate relevant evidence, maintaining accurate case documentation on the Fraud Incident Tracker.
- Coordinate fund recovery efforts by collaborating closely with internal teams, financial institutions, and payment partners.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Support to resolve incidents and address control gaps.
- Contribute to the refinement of fraud monitoring rules, investigative workflows, and preventive controls based on observed typologies.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in fraud investigations, transaction monitoring, fintech operations, risk, or compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret behavioral data, identify trends, and make sound evidence-based decisions.
- Working knowledge of digital forensic techniques, case management tools, and financial crime risk frameworks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills for producing clear investigation reports.
