About the Role
KolaDaisi University (KDU), a premier private institution licensed by the National Universities Commission and founded by Chief Kola Daisi, CON, is seeking a qualified and dynamic professional to fill the role of Senior Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing our campus infrastructure, supporting our commitment to providing a world-class learning and working environment for staff and students alike.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of university facilities, electrical systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Supervise junior engineering staff, technical personnel, and external contractors on project sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and institutional policies in all engineering operations.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime of critical university assets and equipment.
- Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and budgetary estimates for campus development initiatives.
- Collaborate with university management and academic departments to address infrastructural needs effectively.
- Possession of a good degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification cognate experience in a similar institutional or corporate environment.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and registration with COREN is mandatory.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive remuneration structured on the KDUNTSS 09 salary scale, comparable to Federal Universities in Nigeria.
