About the Role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, operator of the flagship OML 30 asset in the Niger Delta, is seeking a talented and driven Senior Electrical Engineer for a project contract position. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing robust electrical engineering support for surface production systems design, testing, pre-commissioning, and start-up, ensuring all operations meet rigorous international and national standards while creating sustainable value for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive electrical engineering support for surface production systems design, testing, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
- Evaluate, optimize, and design electrical power systems to meet load demands using advanced power tools.
- Check, review, and approve critical electrical documentation for assigned projects.
- Interface seamlessly with contractor engineering teams and evaluate contractors during prequalification and technical stages.
- Mentor junior electrical engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and conducting in-house technical reviews.
- Manage design changes, ensure cost variation compliance, and contribute accurate cost estimates for projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Mandatory professional certification including NSE/COREN and membership with the IEEE.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Extensive expertise in transient, stability, and steady-state motor starting studies, short circuit calculations, and cable sizing.
- Proven background in onshore field construction, plant sizing design, and electrical design philosophy.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and leadership capabilities.
