About the Role

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our high-throughput transactional systems.
Key Responsibilities- Own database architecture, strategy, and scaling end-to-end for mission-critical payment workloads.
- Design and execute database migrations, upgrades, and schema changes with minimal downtime.
- Build and maintain automated provisioning, backup, and recovery pipelines using Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through advanced query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Leverage AI-driven tools for anomaly detection, predictive performance tuning, and automated root cause analysis.
- Enforce strict database security policies, encryption standards, and access controls to maintain compliance.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Reliability Engineer.
- Deep expertise in relational databases such as MySQL and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB and Redis.
- Proven hands-on experience operating cloud-managed databases on AWS (RDS, Aurora).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and automation scripts in Python, Bash, or SQL.
- Familiarity with fintech industry standards, payment processing, and PCI-DSS data compliance is a strong advantage.
