About the Role
iRecharge Tech-Innovations is a leading internet-powered distribution platform enabling users to seamlessly purchase virtual products and services such as airtime, data, internet subscriptions, pay-TV, and Bulk SMS. We are looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this hands-on role, you will think like an attacker to identify and mitigate real-world security threats while collaborating closely with our Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to safeguard our expanding technological ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement comprehensive security controls across applications, cloud environments, networks, and digital platforms.
- Plan and execute authorized penetration tests across web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct advanced ethical hacking and manual security assessments to uncover vulnerabilities beyond automated scanners.
- Assess and strengthen AWS cloud security, managing IAM policies, network configurations, and storage access controls.
- Investigate security alerts, support incident response activities, and conduct thorough root-cause analyses.
- Lead vulnerability management initiatives, prioritizing and driving effective remediation alongside development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience, preferably within fintech, banking, or regulated digital environments.
- Strong expertise in OWASP principles, penetration testing methodologies, and offensive security tools like Burp Suite and Metasploit.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AWS security controls, Linux/Windows administration, and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Relevant professional certifications including OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or AWS Certified Security are highly advantageous.
