About the Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Compliance Officer (SCO) to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of our enterprise-wide compliance framework across multiple dynamic business units, including IT, Finance, Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency, and Oil & Gas sectors in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and continuously improve robust compliance programs across diverse business lines.
- Monitor evolving regulatory developments and ensure strict adherence to local and international laws.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, managing examinations, reviews, and communications.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments, internal audits, and gap analyses to mitigate exposures.
- Develop, review, and enforce internal controls, compliance policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead engaging compliance training programs and awareness campaigns for all employees and management.
- Prepare detailed periodic compliance reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Manage internal investigations regarding regulatory concerns and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Compulsory ACAMS certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements across Fintech, Crypto, and traditional finance sectors.
