About the Role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing group committed to producing high-quality, affordable healthcare products across Nigeria and West Africa. We are currently recruiting a dynamic Quality Control Executive – Microbiology for our world-class Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Key Responsibilities- Perform microbiological sampling and testing of water, air, and finished products in accordance with approved specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct environmental monitoring of production areas, cleanrooms, and the microbiology laboratory, including differential pressure readings and trend analysis.
- Manage media preparation, growth promotion tests, culture maintenance, and handling of microbial standard cultures.
- Perform critical assays such as swab sampling, compressed air analysis, nitrogen gas analysis, holding time studies, and validation support.
- Handle laboratory documentation, including the drafting of SOPs, specifications, methods of analysis, analytical test reports, and change controls.
- Manage laboratory incidents, Out of Specification (OOS), and Out of Trend (OOT) investigations while upholding strict cGLP and data integrity standards.
- Oversee equipment calibration, autoclave operations, and departmental fumigation activities.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Microbiology or a closely related scientific discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on microbiological Quality Control experience within a pharmaceutical API or heavily regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental monitoring, cGLP compliance, data integrity, and laboratory documentation.
