Resurgir Consulting is currently partnering with a reputable educational institution to recruit an experienced and dedicated Senior Class Mathematics Teacher in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping students' academic journeys by fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and ensuring they achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-impact Mathematics lessons aligned with the approved school curriculum.
- Prepare senior secondary students thoroughly for internal assessments and major external examinations.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, quizzes, and constructive assignments.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report accurately on students' academic progress and performance.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide targeted academic support or enrichment.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline to cultivate a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the practical application of mathematics.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues and school management to continually improve student outcomes.
- Minimum of an HND or BSc in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field.
- 2 to 3 years of proven teaching experience, specifically handling senior secondary school classes.
- Exceptional mastery of mathematics with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A proven track record of successfully preparing students for external examinations.
