About the Role
iRecruiters Africa Limited is partnering with a leading organization to hire a dynamic and results-driven Senior Civil Engineer. In this role, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety standards, and project timelines while leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering and construction projects from inception to completion.
- Review engineering drawings, designs, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, and other technical personnel.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues, defects, and potential project risks.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, project managers, and consultants.
- Prepare and review project schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure construction activities comply with relevant building codes, HSE requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide technical solutions to construction challenges and mentor junior engineers.
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of quality control, HSE, and Nigerian building standards.
- Professional certification or membership with COREN is required.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management abilities.
