About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Batching Plant Operator to manage daily operations at our state-of-the-art concrete batching facility. This role is ideal for an experienced professional ready to take on supervisory responsibilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency in concrete production.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and supervise computerized batching plant control systems to produce concrete according to approved mix designs and production schedules
- Conduct daily pre-start equipment inspections to ensure all systems are operational and ready for production
- Monitor batching accuracy, material proportions, and production quality to maintain company standards and compliance
- Coordinate concrete loading and discharge operations with loading teams for efficient delivery
- Report equipment faults, quality concerns, and material shortages promptly to management
- Maintain plant facilities, control rooms, and work areas in safe and clean conditions
- Keep accurate production records, batch tickets, and daily operational logs
- Supervise and mentor batching plant assistants to enhance technical skills and performance
- Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Collaborate with Quality Control teams on testing, assurance, and product compliance
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Technology, or related field (advantageous)
- 3–5 years' experience operating concrete batching plants
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or senior operator role
- Strong knowledge of computerized batching systems and concrete production processes
- Understanding of concrete mix designs and quality control procedures
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment faults
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
