About the Role
Mikano International, Nigeria's leading power solution provider, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Powerhouse, Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) installations. With over 25 years of excellence in manufacturing, assembling, and distributing top-tier diesel and gas generators ranging from 9kVA to 5000kVA, we continue to drive innovation across the energy sector. Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute electrical installation works for generator powerhouses, control panels, distribution boards, and synchronizing panels.
- Coordinate proper cable routing, termination, glanding, earthing, and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and engineering drawings.
- Supervise MV installations, including MV switchgear, Ring Main Units (RMUs), transformers, cables, and protection systems.
- Manage LV installations such as LV panels, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panels, and distribution boards.
- Participate in the configuration, testing, and commissioning of generator synchronization, load-sharing, and AMF systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical faults on generators, transformers, and distribution networks during emergencies and routine operations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on field experience in electrical installation, power generation, or industrial electrical projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical installations and safety protocols.
- Strong practical background in generator powerhouse installation, testing, and electrical commissioning.
- Familiarity with generator synchronization and load-sharing systems is a distinct advantage.
