About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14, 2024, with the mandate to improve the healthcare needs of Nigerians and increase manpower output in the sector. Following its rapid transformation from a monotechnic into a dynamic university comprising six faculties and 17 departments, FUAHSE is committed to excellence, transparency, and accountability across all operations. We are currently seeking a qualified and diligent Senior Auditor to join our internal audit team and help uphold our high standards of financial governance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and report on financial, operational, and compliance audit engagements across various university departments.
- Review internal control systems, accounting procedures, and administrative policies to ensure adequacy and effectiveness.
- Detect and investigate financial anomalies, irregularities, or non-compliance with statutory regulations and university guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive, objective audit reports with actionable recommendations for executive management and the governing council.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth statutory audits and compliance checks.
- Mentor and guide junior audit staff, fostering a culture of professional ethics and continuous improvement.
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Must hold a recognized professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent.
- Minimum of relevant years of professional auditing experience, preferably within the public sector or tertiary education environment.
- Demonstrated competence, unwavering integrity, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial findings clearly.
