About the Role
Hope Payment Service Bank Limited (Hope PSBank), Nigeria's premier digital-first bank, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Head, Reconciliation, Settlement & Chargeback. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure effective service delivery, efficient transaction processing within stipulated turnaround times, and provide robust operational supervision to drive our growth.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Group Head of Operations in managing the bank's entire operational landscape and act as a reliable back-up when required.
- Monitor the effective reconciliation of electronic fund transfers, general ledgers, and payment channel settlement entries.
- Authorize POS merchant inward transfers and track/authorize failed inflows resulting from system issues.
- Conduct daily reviews of banking application transactions against switching company reports (CBA vs. Settlement reports).
- Ensure accurate daily proof of accounts, reconciliation of all operations and settlement general ledgers, and external bank statements.
- Process interbank placements and investment bookings efficiently while generating prompt confirmation letters for clients.
- Minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a postgraduate degree or MBA is a strong added advantage.
- Active professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIBN is required.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-graduation experience in banking operations, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
