About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Auditor I. Established to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare manpower in Nigeria, FUAHSE is rapidly expanding its academic and administrative structures. As an Auditor I, you will play a critical role in safeguarding institutional resources, promoting financial transparency, and ensuring strict adherence to public sector financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and compliance audits across various university departments and units.
- Review internal control systems, accounting records, and financial transactions to detect and prevent errors or fraud.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and actionable recommendations for management to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations, university policies, and statutory accounting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during periodic financial reviews and inspections.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on outstanding audit queries.
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent is required.
- Relevant working experience in auditing or financial management, preferably within the public sector or tertiary education.
