About the Role
Evidence Action scales evidence-based programs that measurably improve the lives of millions across the globe. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Associate, Program Data Analytics to join our Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) team for the West and Central Africa (WCA) sub-region. In this vital role, you will transform cleaned program data into actionable insights, compelling visualizations, and strategic reports to guide our life-changing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead descriptive and inferential statistical analyses using Stata, R, or Python to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Translate complex analytical findings into decision-ready outputs, including interactive dashboards, engaging reports, and dynamic infographics.
- Manage, mentor, and build the capacity of junior data analytics associates to drive high performance.
- Design and facilitate internal training sessions for MLE field teams to strengthen regional data literacy.
- Collaborate closely with program teams to identify analytical needs, surface trends, and ensure seamless information flow.
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to streamline analytical workflows and optimize data processing efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field; a postgraduate degree is a strong advantage.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in quantitative data analysis and report generation.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages such as Stata, R, or Python.
- Demonstrated expertise with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau and graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of mapping software including ArcGIS, QGIS, or R Shiny.
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English; working proficiency in French is highly desirable for WCA engagement.
