About the Role

Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Administrative Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support to our Nigeria country office. In this vital role, you will ensure that all administrative processes adhere strictly to organizational and donor regulations, driving cost consciousness, operational efficiency, and programmatic success across our health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure administrative processes run smoothly to support effective and efficient program implementation across all departments.
  • Coordinate procurement processes in compliance with the delegation of authority and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective management of assets, inventory, consumables, and facility equipment, including accurate automated reporting.
  • Manage operational vehicle fleet usage, logistics requirements, and incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain the lease and contract management database, promptly initiating renewals, extensions, and terminations.
  • Lead office management, facility management, and coordinate logistics for business travel.
  • Set the standard for compliance with donor and institutional regulations and standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional certification in Project Management, Administration, or Logistics Management is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of progressive experience in program operations within an NGO.
  • Practical understanding and application of donor regulations in large, complex international projects.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including automated fleet management, database applications, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail.
