About the Role
BONS Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality bakery materials, food ingredients, packaged foods, and beverages in Nigeria, is seeking a diligent and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team at our factory office in Enugu. In this vital role, you will ensure financial integrity, maintain robust internal controls, and support strategic business decisions through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes to ensure timely transactions.
- Support internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and financial reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management for cost optimization and business growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to company financial policies, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in Nigeria.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of cognate accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Active professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or similar senior accounting role is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in enterprise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial data modeling.
