About the Role
Zurishaddai Recruitment Agency is a premier HR consultancy with over 8 years of expertise in talent acquisition and SME support. We are currently recruiting a dynamic Senior Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, guarantee accounting accuracy, and ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS standards for our esteemed client based around the Ikota, Ajah area of Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts alongside insightful variance analysis.
- Manage general ledger operations, conducting thorough monthly reconciliations for bank, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, oversee rolling forecasts, and track actual expenditures against approved budgets.
- Handle tax computations and filings including CIT, VAT, and WHT with FIRS and LIRS, while liaising with external auditors.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable workflows, vendor payments, and aging reports to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Strengthen internal controls, identify process gaps, and mentor junior accounts officers.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory active certification as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA - ICAN).
- Minimum of 3 years solid post-qualification experience in a structured corporate environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and enterprise resource planning software such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
- Must reside on the Lagos Island axis within close proximity to Ikota and Ajah.
