In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of our growing enterprise by ensuring accurate bookkeeping, seamless audit preparations, and strict adherence to company financial policies. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial records.
  • Record and update financial transactions accurately in the company's accounting system.
  • Assist in preparing financial documents and schedules required for external financial audits.
  • Support departmental internal audit activities by gathering relevant documentation and reconciling records.
  • Verify that accounting records are consistent with financial systems such as QuickBooks.
  • Process and monitor routine departmental expenses while ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare payment requests and maintain supporting documentation for management approvals.
  • Assist with bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on supporting documentation where necessary.
  • Assist with inventory and fixed asset record verification as required.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in an accounting support role.
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and daily bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other essential Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, ERP systems, or other accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations and statutory remittances is a plus.
