About the Role

Christopher University, promoted by Translucent Management Services, is dedicated to bridging the gap between industry and academia through excellence in education and management sciences. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Bursary department at our Mowe, Ogun campus. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the institution, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting our mission to provide world-class education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily financial transactions, general ledger maintenance, and accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in the development and management of the university's annual budget and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure strict compliance with statutory financial regulations, tax laws, and internal institutional policies.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries.
  • Manage payroll processing and related statutory deductions for university staff.
  • Provide expert financial advice to the Bursar and university management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting.
  • Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ANAN is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 to 9 years of post-qualification cognate accounting experience, preferably within the tertiary education sector or corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
