About the Role

Over the past 8 years, we have grown into a reputable, internationally recognized brand specializing in engineering, fabrication, maintenance, and project management. We are currently looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant to manage financial records, oversee payables, ensure tax compliance, and support our engineering and project management teams in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain records of all payables, ensure accurate vendor accounting ledgers, and process timely vendor payments for goods and services.
- Perform monthly inventory spot checks, quarterly reconciliations, and manage inventory issuance, receipts, and adjustments.
- Liaise with project managers to take commercial responsibility for project analysis and optimize project spending.
- Compute, upload, and remit statutory taxes including WHT, PAYE, and VAT on the FIRS portal.
- Update prepayment and fixed asset schedules, calculating and uploading monthly expenses on the ERP system.
- Assist with client invoicing, accounts receivable, management accounts, and the preparation of financial projections for pioneer status.
- Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and review journal posting batches to ensure financial accuracy.
- Bachelor Degree (B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA (or progress toward certification) is a distinct advantage.
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, and Financial Accounting.
- Prior working experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian tax obligations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting standards.
