About the Role
Cobranet Limited, a leading and reliable Internet Service Provider in Nigeria established in 2003, is currently seeking a dedicated Credit Control Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring timely customer payments, managing accounts receivable, and mitigating credit risks while upholding our commitment to exceptional service quality.
Key Responsibilities- Chasing up overdue payments via telephone, email, and occasional client visits.
- Handling accurate and timely billing and invoicing processes.
- Resolving customer accounting queries and billing discrepancies promptly.
- Assisting in setting appropriate credit limits for new and existing subscribers.
- Conducting regular reconciliation of payments to customer accounts.
- Identifying clients who have exceeded their credit limits for potential service disconnection.
- Highlighting high-risk problem customers to senior management.
- Managing Withholding Tax (WHT) recovery and comprehensive follow-ups.
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and credit control process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- High level of accuracy, tenacity, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in intermediate computer software, including Microsoft Excel and standard accounting packages.
- Prior experience in a similar finance or billing role within the Nigerian telecommunications or ISP sector is an added advantage.
