About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, maintain statutory compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to our management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Manage the company general ledger and ensure accurate, up-to-date financial postings.
  • Oversee comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Supervise account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain financial integrity.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and statutory obligations.
  • Coordinate external audits and provide all necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance indicators, and liquidity levels.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior accounting team members.
  • Develop, implement, and improve internal control systems and financial policies.
  • Liaise effectively with banks, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory Chartered Accountant certification (Associate level) with ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of robust accounting experience within a structured business environment.
  • Prior experience in the publishing, manufacturing, or FMCG sector is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in Nigeria.
