About the Role
Smart Partners is seeking a dynamic and analytical Finance Officer to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our financial health by ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely transaction processing, and rigorous compliance with statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, ledgers, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, managing daily cash flow and petty cash in line with company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and performance budgets.
- Ensure strict compliance with statutory obligations, including tax remittances and pension contributions.
- Assist in payroll processing, fixed asset register maintenance, and audit exercises.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities while generating financial analyses for management decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, Nigerian taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
