About the Role

Domino Stores Limited, a premier Nigerian Group of Companies with diverse operations spanning retail, hospitality, property, and entertainment, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Officer for our expanding bakery chain business. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting management reporting, and ensuring strict adherence to internal controls across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, financial transactions, and journal entries with proper documentation.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank, cash, customer, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, process invoices, oversee collections, and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and comprehensive variance analyses.
  • Review revenue and expenses across various business units, ensuring proper reconciliation of sales, cash collections, POS transactions, and online payments.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, fixed asset tracking, and inventory accounting.
  • Support statutory tax computations, regulatory filings, and facilitate internal and external audit processes.
  • Enforce compliance with company accounting policies and recommend improvements to internal financial controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is a strong added advantage.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience within a diversified group, retail, hospitality, or related high-volume environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reputable enterprise accounting or ERP software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory financial compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
