About the Role
Sweet Nation Foods (World of Popcorn and Treats) is on a mission to enrich lives through premium snacks while maintaining robust financial health and operational excellence. We are looking for a dedicated Internal Control / Audit Officer to join our growing team and help protect our assets across our office, production facilities, and agricultural sites. This position plays a critical role in enforcing compliance, verifying financial transactions, and mitigating operational risks.
Key Responsibilities- Review and thoroughly verify financial transactions, payment vouchers, and expenditure requests prior to management approval.
- Conduct routine and surprise stock counts, verifying inventory levels, raw materials, finished goods, and fixed assets.
- Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits across various departments, production units, and farm or field sites.
- Monitor strict compliance with internal company policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
- Investigate financial or operational irregularities, discrepancies, and fraud risks, providing practical recommendations for control improvements.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive, and actionable audit and control reports for executive management decision-making.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting or auditing certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in internal control, auditing, or financial compliance, ideally within manufacturing, food production, or agribusiness sectors.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, unwavering professional integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
