About the Role
HR-on-Wheels is recruiting a skilled Semi-Senior Audit Associate on behalf of our esteemed client in the professional services sector. In this role, you will play a critical part in executing comprehensive audit engagements, ensuring strict compliance with financial standards, and providing valuable mentorship to junior team members across various Nigerian industries.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute end-to-end audit engagements from planning through to completion for diverse clients.
- Supervise, coach, and review the working papers of junior audit associates using CaseWare.
- Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and rigorous financial statement reviews for IFRS compliance.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify business risks, and draft actionable management letters.
- Liaise directly with client management to resolve queries and gather essential audit evidence.
- Maintain adherence to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and internal quality control frameworks.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of progressive audit experience within a recognized professional services or audit firm.
- Active professional certification such as ICAN (ACA); an ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
- Mandatory hands-on proficiency with CaseWare and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong technical understanding of IFRS, ISA, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
