About the Role

Rainoil Limited is a leading downstream oil and gas company committed to operational excellence and service delivery across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and diligent LPG Plant Account Officer to join our dynamic team in Aduwawa, Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining financial integrity by managing daily cash transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting for our LPG operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the availability of funds to meet day-to-day operational petty cash expenses and emergencies.
  • Maintains accurate records to allow easy disbursement, reconciliation, and cash replenishment.
  • Processes expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper accountability of all cash advances.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive records of cash requests and disbursements.
  • Reconciles all received cash recorded in the petty cash book with actual operational expenses.
  • Processes payments for accounts and issues official receipts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Keeps meticulous records of amounts received and paid, regularly checking cash balances against records.
  • Collects funds from the bank for safe keeping prior to operational reimbursements.
  • Files all financial documents concerning cash payments and collections systematically.
  • Responds promptly to queries regarding approvals, payment limits, and deadlines for retirements.
  • Retires the various operational imprest accounts accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepares daily and weekly collections and payment summary reports for review by the station supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or Economics.
  • Strong proficiency in numerical analysis, record keeping, and financial reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
