About the Role
Az-Zahrawain Integrated Academy is a prestigious Islamic integrated school located in the heart of Katsina, Nigeria, dedicated to blending standard academic subjects with robust Islamic and Arabic education under the motto "Two Lights - One Path to Excellence." We are currently seeking a dedicated, vigilant, and professional Security Personnel to maintain a safe, secure, and peaceful learning environment for our students, teachers, and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to upholding the values and safety standards of our academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and patrol school premises, gates, and perimeters regularly to prevent unauthorized access and potential security breaches.
- Manage the entry and exit of visitors, students, staff, and delivery personnel, ensuring proper identification and sign-in procedures are followed.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities or safety hazards on school grounds.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and distress calls, taking appropriate control measures and notifying school management immediately.
- Enforce school security policies, traffic rules within the premises, and maintain order during school events and gatherings.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and community security networks when necessary to ensure comprehensive protection.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of visitors, incidents, and security observations during each shift.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent professional security training certification.
- Proven previous experience working as a security guard, military personnel, or law enforcement officer, preferably within an educational institution.
- Possess strong situational awareness, physical fitness, and the ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure situations.
- Good verbal communication skills in English and Hausa, with the ability to interact politely yet firmly with the public.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability with a clean background record.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response protocols and first aid administration is an added advantage.
