About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of top electronic brands such as Samsung, Royal, and Parsun, is seeking a diligent and focused CCTV Operator to join our security team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our employees, customers, facilities, and inventory by proactively monitoring surveillance systems and responding swiftly to security concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor multiple CCTV screens and surveillance areas continuously to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.
- Operate cameras remotely to pan, tilt, and zoom, ensuring optimal coverage of designated zones.
- Communicate real-time incident details to on-ground security personnel and coordinate rapid responses.
- Review, retrieve, and securely manage CCTV footage to support internal investigations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Conduct routine technical checks on monitoring equipment and promptly report faults to IT or security management.
- Maintain accurate logs of security incidents, daily occurrences, and detailed monitoring reports.
- Possession of a B.Sc or HND in Computer Science, Criminology, Security Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven previous experience in CCTV monitoring, loss prevention, or general security surveillance operations.
- Strong technical aptitude with a basic understanding of CCTV monitoring systems and recording hardware.
- Exceptional observation skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused during long shifts.
- Good computer literacy, including proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.
