About the Role
Corinthia Villa Hotel, a premier luxury boutique hotel located in the serene business hub of Garki 2, Abuja, is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to join our safety team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of safety, ensuring that our guests and staff enjoy a secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol hotel premises, interior corridors, parking lots, and exterior perimeters to identify safety risks or suspicious activities.
- Manage access control by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor logs, and preventing unauthorized access to guest floors and restricted areas.
- Monitor CCTV feeds and security alarm systems continuously to detect and address unusual activities promptly.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents and fires, providing initial first aid and coordinating evacuations.
- De-escalate conflicts and handle disruptive visitors with professionalism, tact, and composure.
- Assist guests courteously with safety inquiries, directions, and lost items while maintaining a visible, reassuring presence.
- Document all daily events, incidents, and security breaches thoroughly in detailed shift logs for hotel management.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or equivalent professional certification in security management or a related field.
- Proven working experience as a Security Officer, preferably within the hospitality or luxury hotel sector.
- Strong situational awareness, conflict resolution, and emergency response capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
