About the Role
252 Lighthouse is an emerging children's development, recreation and wellness centre located in Lokogoma, Abuja. We are creating a safe, exciting and nurturing space where children can learn, play, explore their creativity, build confidence and develop important life skills. As we prepare to open our doors, we are looking for a responsible, skilled, and enthusiastic Security Officer to join our dedicated team and maintain a secure environment for our young guests, parents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor entry and exit points to ensure strict access control for the facility.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and strictly enforce child pick-up and release procedures.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the premises at all times.
- Conduct routine security checks of the main building, gates, and outdoor recreational facilities.
- Identify and report suspicious activities or security concerns promptly to management.
- Support emergency response protocols and evacuation procedures.
- Interact professionally and courteously with children, parents, and visitors.
- Collaborate with the Centre Manager to enforce all safety policies.
- Proven previous experience in security, facility protection, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to remain alert, calm, and professional in all situations.
- Strong communication and observation skills with basic literacy to maintain records.
- Good physical fitness and readiness to work flexible assigned shifts.
- Prior experience securing schools, childcare facilities, or residential estates is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and child safeguarding principles is an added advantage.
- Willingness to undergo thorough background checks and provide credible references.
