About the Role
252 Lighthouse Children's Centre is an emerging children's development, recreation, and wellness facility located in Lokogoma, Abuja. We are dedicated to providing a safe, exciting, and nurturing space where children can learn, play, and explore. As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a dedicated Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant to ensure our facility remains spotless, hygienic, and secure for children, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitise activity rooms, salon areas, offices, restrooms, and corridors.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness across all indoor and outdoor play areas.
- Thoroughly clean and organise toys, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
- Manage waste disposal and monitor cleaning supplies inventory.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment.
- Store all cleaning agents securely and safely away from children.
- Assist with setup and teardown for workshops, events, and daily activities.
- Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or facilities maintenance, preferably within schools, hotels, or childcare centres.
- Strong knowledge of professional sanitation, health, and safety standards.
- Physically fit and capable of managing routine, active cleaning duties.
- High level of honesty, reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Deep commitment to child safeguarding, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to provide credible references and pass background checks.
