About the Role
Blossom Dental Clinic and Braces Centre is a highly rated, modern dental practice operating two main locations in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Known for its welcoming environment and excellent patient care, we provide a comprehensive range of family, cosmetic, and orthodontic treatments. We are currently seeking a dedicated and observant Security Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe, secure atmosphere for our valued patients, visitors, and staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor premises, entrances, and parking areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or suspicious activities.
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally, providing basic directions and ensuring they sign in upon arrival.
- Patrol the clinic buildings and grounds regularly to check for hazards, security breaches, or safety risks.
- Manage security gates, parking allocations, and control the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, taking appropriate action and de-escalating conflicts when necessary.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services if serious security incidents occur.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of visitors, incidents, and security observations during your shift.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent educational qualification with relevant security training.
- Proven working experience as a Security Officer, preferably within a healthcare, corporate, or retail environment.
- Strong situational awareness, excellent observation skills, and sound judgment in emergency situations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact politely yet firmly with the public.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
- Must reside in or be able to reliably commute to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
