About the Role
Tongyi Allied Mining Limited is a leading multinational mining corporation operating extensively across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and company assets while assisting with basic facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine security patrols to deter and detect suspicious activities, security breaches, or hazards.
- Manage entry and exit points by verifying identification and authorizing visitors and employees.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, maintaining calm under pressure.
- Maintain detailed logs and accurate incident reports for record-keeping and investigative purposes.
- Conduct regular safety checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency response services when necessary.
- Carry out basic facility maintenance, including replacing faulty light bulbs and performing minor repairs.
- Inspect office facilities and promptly report electrical faults, plumbing issues, or damaged fittings.
- Minimum of an SSCE certificate from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of proven work experience in a similar security or facility role.
- Prior experience in basic property maintenance will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong observational skills, high integrity, and unwavering honesty.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions independently.
- Physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Must be willing to reside in the company-provided accommodation.
