About the Role
Faith Comprehensive International Secondary School (FACISS) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, is looking for a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our campus safety team. In this vital role, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment conducive to learning and student residence.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor school premises, gates, and perimeter fences to prevent unauthorized access and potential security breaches.
- Manage visitor logs, verify identities, and issue visitor passes for parents, vendors, and guests.
- Patrol both day and boarding school grounds regularly to deter suspicious activities and ensure property safety.
- Enforce school safety policies, rules, and emergency procedures efficiently.
- Coordinate promptly with local law enforcement or emergency services when critical situations arise.
- Manage vehicle traffic and parking arrangements during school hours and special events.
- Minimum of SSCE/GCE or equivalent educational qualification with relevant security training.
- Proven previous experience working as a security guard, officer, or within a uniformed service.
- Strong physical fitness and alertness required to handle demanding security duties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact politely yet firmly with students, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Residency in or close proximity to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, will be an added advantage.
